Our Treatments
Invisalign

Invisalign is comfortable, easy to use, and virtually invisible. Unlike metal braces, you can remove your aligners while eating so you can enjoy a wider variety of foods such as popcorn, carrots, apples and nuts – stuff that easily gets caught on conventional brackets. You can also take them out to brush and floss normally, for better gum health.

Expansion

As part of our holistic approach, we take extra time to look at your jaw function and alignment. Expansion appliances that gently widen the upper jaw to create more space for proper tooth alignment. This innovative technique not only improves the outcome of orthodontic treatment but also promotes optimal facial development and airway health.

MyoBrace > O2Dontics

The MyoBrace, part of the O2Dontics system, is a customized oral appliance designed to promote proper oral muscle function, facial development, and airway health in growing children.

Babylase

Babylase is used primarily for infants with tongue or lip ties, conditions that can interfere with breastfeeding, swallowing, and proper oral function. The treatment involves a quick and painless laser procedure that helps release the tied tissue, improving the baby’s ability to latch, nurse, and feed comfortably. By addressing these issues early, Babylase supports proper oral function, which can positively influence speech, breathing, and facial development as the child grows.

Controlled Arch Braces
Early Intervention Orthodontics
Oralase

Oralase is a therapy for older children, focusing on enhancing oral muscle function, reducing tension, and improving airway health. It is particularly beneficial for children with breathing issues, sleep-disordered breathing, or developmental concerns related to the mouth and airway. Oralase can help to improve muscle tone and reduce inflammation, aiding in proper growth and overall health.
Both treatments are safe, quick, and highly effective. They provide long-lasting benefits without the need for more invasive interventions, ensuring your child’s oral and overall health is on the right track from an early age.

Myofunctional therapy

Myofunctional therapy focuses on retraining the muscles of the mouth and face to improve breathing, swallowing, and tongue posture. It addresses issues like mouth breathing, improper swallowing, and tongue ties, helping to prevent or correct sleep, speech, and orthodontic problems. Through simple exercises, this therapy promotes proper oral function, supporting healthy growth and overall well-being.

How long does orthodontic treatment typically take?

The duration of orthodontic treatment varies depending on the complexity of your case and the specific appliance used. On average, treatment with traditional braces can take between 12 and 24 months, while Invisalign treatment may be slightly shorter. During your initial consultation, our doctors will provide you with a more accurate timeline based on your individual needs.

Is orthodontic treatment painful?

While some mild discomfort or soreness is normal, especially after adjustments or when transitioning to new aligners, our team is dedicated to minimizing any discomfort throughout your treatment. We utilize minimally invasive techniques and offer various pain management strategies to ensure a comfortable experience.

Can I still play sports or musical instruments during orthodontic treatment?

Absolutely! With proper precautions and appliance adjustments, most patients can continue participating in sports, playing musical instruments, and enjoying their favorite activities during orthodontic treatment. Our team will provide you with specific guidelines to ensure your safety and protect your appliance.

How often do I need to visit the office during orthodontic treatment?

The frequency of your visits will depend on the type of appliance you're using and the stage of your treatment. For traditional braces, you'll typically need to visit our office every 4 to 8 weeks for adjustments. With Invisalign, your visits may be less frequent, as you'll receive several sets of aligners at a time.

Finding Dr. Taylor and her team was was such a godsend! I was referred by a homeopathic doctor in my town who said it would be worth my while to make the 1 1/2 hr drive…oh boy was she right! That was over seven years ago and I’m still making the drive because I have found no other office that compares. The care they offer is comprehensive and cutting edge. They helped me make informed choices that not only saved my teeth, but have improved my overall health. I HIGHLY recommend them!
