Non-Narcotic Sedation Dentistry & Anesthesia

When you need to have dental work done, opting for sedation or anesthesia can take anxiety out of the equation. As a biological dental office, we provide options that are not only effective but non-narcotic.

For relatively minor procedures (e.g., crowns, single implants, single tooth extraction) – or those lasting 90 minutes or less – IV sedation can be enough. With sedation, you’re put into a semi-conscious twilight state. You can respond to stimuli. You can breathe on your own.

For more extensive procedures, such as full mouth reconstruction or multiple implants or restorations, general anesthesia is typically called for. Here, you are “put under” and are completely unconscious through the procedures. You’re put on a ventilator that breathes for you.

Here at Green City Dental, both IV sedation and general anesthesia are provided by Dr. Andrew Koogler, a medical doctor who is dual board certified in anesthesia and pain management. His qualifications are above and beyond what is needed for dental surgery, so you know you’re in great hands when you need this service as part of your care.

Don’t let dental fear or anxiety keep you from getting the dental care that you need. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and exam so we can help you get on your way to the healthy smile you deserve!
