“Dr. Isabel” is an integrative dentist with over 20 years of experience who is passionate about bringing awareness to the art of truly living extraordinary, fulfilling, happy lives by focusing on the mouth as a mirror and gateway to the body.

After completing her dental studies at Universidad Autónoma in scenic Manizales, Colombia, “Dr. Isabel” devoted a year to providing dental care to underserved communities. After completing her general practice residency, she served as chief resident at Jackson Memorial Hospital – a University of Miami affiliate – with an emphasis on oral surgery and the treatment of children with disabilities and medically compromised patients.

Dr. Isabel completed her training in orthodontics at the Academy of GP Orthodontics and is trained in Invisalign. Her more holistic and biological approach led her to get certified in dental ozone therapy through the American College for Integrative Medicine and Dentistry in New York. She is particularly fascinated by the integration and relation of stress, emotions, and immunological dysfunction, especially autoimmunity.

“Disease,” she explains, “is caused by imbalances in four main aspects: the psychological system with our thoughts and emotions, the neurological, endocrine, and immune systems.” It’s the idea that motivated her to expand her toolkit with an Emotion & Body Code Certification, a hypnotherapy course at UCLA, and Dental Decoding, in which she was trained by Dr. Fabian Brotos in identifying emotions as they relate to specific teeth. In 2020, she earned her doctorate in integrative medicine and is a Reiki Master, as well.

Born in Medellín, Colombia, Dr. Isabel enjoys the amazing miracle of having teenage twins, along with all the joy their respective journeys bring to her life. For fun, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors, painting landscapes in oil, reading, kayaking, hiking, and traveling. She finds discovering new cultures as rewarding as exploring educational content for her patients. You are welcome to join her journey at isamizu.
